About Me

Coachella Valley-based silk artist Janell Rickey has a B.A. in Advertising with an emphasis in Graphic Design. Though a writer, she has always exercised her love of artistic expression. She currently uses silk as her medium and employs the many different techniques silk art affords. 

She draws her inspiration from not only the varied beauty of the desert, but also the coast, forests, and metropolitan elements. Her balanced use of color creates vibrant and unique results.
